The second in the WIT@CU Forum Discussion series, Communicating Your Credibility, was held on April 20, 2022, at The Forum in Manhattanville. Co-sponsored by CUIT and CUIMC, this hybrid, interactive conversation with international author and communication specialist, Laura Katen, provided practical tips and information around how to increase your visibility in a virtual environment.

The 2019 Women + INFOSEC Perspectives Conference—presented by Women in Technology at Columbia University and CBS Corporation, in partnership with Columbia’s Center for Technology Management (CTM) and the American Management Association’s Women’s Leadership Center—brought together women, and men, at every level from student to senior executive, to share ideas and discuss important trends in information security and technology; as well as provide opportunities to expand skills, build community, and explore ways organizations can attract and retain more women to these sectors. Women In Technology held their Spring 2019 event at the Columbia School of Nursing Helene Fuld Simulation Center on April 16, 2019. The Helene Fuld Health Trust Simulation Center at Columbia University School of Nursing is a two-story 16,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that enhances nursing education by simulating clinical practice using sophisticated technologies in a safe learning environment. It is one of the largest simulation centers dedicated to nursing simulation in New York State.

The Women In Technology CU Networking Mixer met at The Smith Learning Theater at Teachers College on November 7th, 2018. The WIT team had the opportunity to collaborate with the various WIT Committees, along with some our esteemed colleagues in Teachers College. There was also a brief presentation showing the new space and the wide range of possibilities that the flexible layout of the Learning Theatre has to offer.

The Women In Technology Steering Committee dedicated months in developing the WIT website, building out our committees, and planning exciting events designed around our mission: to attract, develop, and retain women in technology at CU. This networking event was held on August 15th, 2018 at Barnard College's Sulzberger Parlor. This event allowed us to reconnect with fellow WIT members, learn more about our committees and view our exciting new website: wit.cuit.columbia.edu.
